If you think the game of baseball and the world of philanthropy have little in common, think again . . . especially if the program is led by Vanderbilt Head Coach Tim Corbin. The roadmap to two College World Series championships (2014 and 2019) and just shy of a third in 2021 is based on a philosophy forged in relationships with players, their families, the fans, the University, middle Tennessee and the baseball community in general. When it came time to expand the Vandy Boys’ Hawkins Field home, 60% of the former players participated in that campaign, an extraordinary accomplishment by every measure.
