2018-2019 Partners in Philanthropy Sponsorship Opportunities

Planned Giving Council of Middle Tennessee

The PGCMT is an affiliated Council of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners

The PGCMT invites companies, financial services organizations and individuals in the Middle Tennessee region to partner with us in advancing the philanthropic community and the work of our respective professionals. Our Partners in Philanthropy sponsors help us strengthen our membership by expanding our outreach in the middle Tennessee region and ensuring the excellence of our programs.

Together, we are strengthening philanthropy, our communities and our region.

Mission: The Planned Giving Council of Middle Tennessee exists to increase the quality and quantity of charitable planned gifts by serving as the voice and professional resource for the gift planning community in Middle Tennessee.

Our Goals: Our goal is to provide educational and networking forums for major gift and annual fund officers, charitable gift planners, nonEprofit leaders, estate attorneys and financial services professionals to enhance the philanthropy in Middle Tennessee, thereby contributing to our robust and vibrant community through our many nonEprofit organizations. Our monthly luncheon programs provide diverse educational programs targeted for this broad audience, including technical skills, the latest information about charitable tax laws and a range of topics on engaging major and planned gift donors. We also provide a forum for financial advisers and financial services professionals and professionals from the philanthropic community to interact with each other to advance their respective industries.

PGCMT Membership: Members of PGCMT include planned giving and major gift officers from all types of nonprofits, directors of development, nonprofit executive directors and leaders, estate attorneys, financial planners, insurance and real estate professionals, accountants, trust officers and other financial services professionals and donor advisors. Our council currently has 62 active members representing 40 different organizations. Last year, PGCMT’s membership increased 22%; our 2018E2019 goal is to increase our membership by 15% to 70 members. Over three years, we plan to double it.

Visibility: PGCMT sends monthly eEblasts to members, prospective members and guests, totaling approximately 400 fundraising and nonEprofit leaders, and estate planning and financial services professionals throughout middle Tennessee. PGCMT monthly eEblasts contain information about upcoming programs and recognize our Partners in Philanthropy at the levels below. The Council hosts 7 luncheon programs, social events and a Planned Giving Super Session from September 2018 – May 2019.
